Front CoverIn February 1994, Northern Ireland Railway's MV Class locomotive 104 was recorded working a three-wagon ballast train "wrong-road" on the down line at Newtown Road bridge near Meigh between Dundalk and Newry during the Dublin-Belfast main line renewal program. 104 was formerly C Class locomotive C216 and entered service with CIE in September 1957. It was sold to NIR in 1986 an reclassified within the "MV" class. 104 was finally withdrawn in August 1995. (Photo - Pearse McKeown - IRRS Collection)
