Locomotives  B189 + B234 pass through Sallins with the up Sairséal Limerick-Dublin service in May 1969. An unidentified Sulzer locomotive stands in the up loop with a goods working. B234 was one of two former C-class locos re-engined with a Maybach power unit and equipped for multiple operation with the GM locomotive fleeet. B234 being so treated in December 1965.
