Front CoverOn Tuesday 31st May 1977, locomotive 075 passes through the disused station at Clondalkin with a trial working from Dublin Heuston to Portlaoise formed of CI… suburban stock. Trial running of the 071 class fleet commenced on 27th April 1977 and continued through to May prior to the locomotives being placd on regular service trains. Today no trace remains of Clondalkin station, the site having been cleared following its closure with effect from Monday 13th October 2008 to allow quadrupling of the line between Cherry Orchard and Hazelhatch.
