Mk III In April, an IÉ spokesman said “Regarding our 25-year-old Mk III fleet ... the fleet has been placed in storage pending an upturn in passenger numbers in the future. We would still envisage in the future potential use for some Mk Ills - for example on an expanded Dublin/Belfast service.”

Mk IIIs cut up in Inchicore between 7 April and 7 May were 6302, 6303, 6312, 6318, 6319, 6314, 6317 and 6309. All were push-pull intermediates.

Head End Power Electric Generator Van (EGV) 7608 was returned from York Rd to Inchicore on Wednesday 17 February, hauled by 144 and passing Gormanston at 15:30. On Tuesday 9 March, 082 hauled 7613 from York Rd to Inchicore, passing Balbriggan at 15:10. Both have been painted in Enterprise colours.
