Ballina The concrete area at the Foxford end of the yard has been extended to cater for loading of timber trains.

Boyle IÉ has applied for planning permission to extend the down platform form 92m to 174m, to demolish the signal cabin and to re-locate the water tower from the path of the extension. Both are ‘protected structures’.

Enfield Planning permission has been granted for an additional 169 car parking spaces and work commenced in December. The existing car park had 30 spaces.

Gorey IÉ has been granted planning permission for a 180 space car park and work started on 19 January.

Rush and Lusk IÉ has sought planning permission for a 152 space car park.

Seapoint Upgrading works, including construction of a new footbridge with lifts for improved access of the mobility impaired, have started. The existing footbridge OB78 was removed over the weekend of 6/7 December. A temporary footbridge had been erected to the north the previous weekend.
