Galway In
September, CIÉ announced that a €750m retail/commercial development and
transport interchange is to be constructed on the 4-acre site of Ceannt station

rail and bus passengers and CIÉ has sought architects to design the 50,000-m2
facility. The sidings of the former freight yard had been scotched out-of-use
during the summer.
