09^th November 2017	“Life on the Railway in County Laois” An illustrated presentation by Seán Cain
23^rd November 2017	Illustrated Historical Quiz night + prizes to be won! – Another fascinating photo-quiz devised and hosted by Ciarán Cooney and Shane Roberts.

14^th December 2017	“Photographic Endeavours” Images from the Hon. Librarian's slide collection by Tim Moriarty
19^th December 2017 Tuesday	Christmas Library Night. (As this function costs around €5 per person, voluntary contributions would be appreciated on the night).
11^th January 2018	“Austrian Adventures” A slideshow of Austrian scenes presented by Clifton Flewitt
25^th January 2018	Members Slideshow – European & Overseas subjects only Presenters limited to 20 images – strictly 10 minutes per person (please contact the Hon. Programme Organiser, Shane Roberts, before this date if you wish to present slides)
08^th February 2018	“Full Steam Ahead at the Bluebell” Dick Fearn returns to Dublin to talk about his current role as Chairman of the Bluebell Railway, the pioneer line in standard gauge steam preservation in Britain
22^nd February 2018	“Sixty Years Gone; the Great Northern Railway of Ireland closures of 1957” An illustrated presentation by Charles Friel
08^th March 2018	“Modernising the London Underground” – An illustrated presentation by John Doyle (former General Manager, Jubilee line and Deputy Operations Director, Crossrail)
22^nd March 2018`	Annual Film Show: “From Midland Branches to the Suir Valley”, An evening dedicated to the gems recorded on film by Joe St Leger, presented by Ciarán Cooney and Liam Mooney. NOTE: THIS MEETING WILL BE PRECEDED BY THE AGM AT 18:30
12^th April 2018	“Architecture of the Great Northern Railway Ireland” Siobhan Osgood
26^th April 2018	“The End of an Era – the Changing World of the ‘60s. The Final Days of UTA Steam and Railcars” An illustrated presentation by Derek Young

Library Night every Tuesday from 19:30 to 21:45 (05^th Sept 2017 – 31^st July 2018)
(Please note the Library will be closed on Tuesdays from 26^th Dec 2017 to 30^th Jan 2018 inclusive)
